Ticketing is a concept used worldwide in public transport that refers to the early acquisition of recorded travel credits in special devices, especially in cards.

It is an integrated hardware and software solution developed and implemented to control and manages the collection of the fares charged in the collective passenger transport system in order to minimize fraud, create loyalty and provide security to users.

The concept of electronic ticketing can be applied to various means of transportation, for example, urban and/or metropolitan mass transit bus transportation, medium and large capacity

public transportation networks such as BRT, VLT, subway, train, ferries and other medium and long distance collective transportation systems (Interstate).

Means of Payment


MIFARE technology consists of a card with a small memory chip and an internal antenna that recognizes the reader's approach through a magnetic field identified by the frequency of the card. Because it requires no contact with the reader, the MIFARE card suffers less wear than a contact card. Extremely secure encryption of the MIFARE card prevents unauthorized access to stored data, thus bringing benefits such as fraud reduction and mechanical failure reduction. This technology is widely used in cards for public transportation, such as the Single Ticket (Bilhete Único) in São Paulo.


It is a ticketing system based on a user account allocated in the ``cloud``, where the user will use as payment method his account ID (mobile phone, ID card) and credits will be debited directly into the account of the users. This means of payment brings benefits such as ease of account management, credits and tickets, low maintenance and operation costs, and high convenience for users.


Near Field Communication (NFC) technology is a form of interaction between two devices, which enables the exchange of wireless and contactless information. Works with the approach of devices with NFC in a short distance. Public transit users can use their NFC enabled smartphones to pay for their ticket. For transportation operators, the NFC brings benefits such as reduced operating cost and protection against fraud and ticket evasion. This technology is already widely used in Europe in countries such as Germany and England. In Brazil, NFC has already been used in cities such as São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro.

QR Code

The QR Code solution proposed by Prodata Mobility Brasil has stepped control, where the distribution of credits will be done through the sales points that will be connected to the ``NET SALES`` (transactional sales switch) that will be responsible for all sales management and registration of the credits available in the SCM ``Secure Credit Manage``. For this new implementation, it will be necessary to update the modules, in view of the new operating model and the systemic adaptations, which determined the controls and ensure the scheduling of requests for issuance and sale of credits for this new modality. This solution is already implemented by Prodata Mobility Brasil in 1300 validators on the buses of the city of Campinas.


It is a security standard for payment cards created by Europay, MasterCard and Visa. EMV cards use a smart chip that replaces the magnetic stripe to store the necessary data to make the transaction goes smoothly. The use of EMV cards in public transport brings benefits such as reduced money on-board, bringing more safety to passengers and employees and reducing time at the daily closing. Prodata Mobility Brasil in partnership with Autopass has validators that work with Contactless technology and accept payment for MASTERCARD cards (credit and debit cards)

Fleet Monitoring

Following the advance of technology and seeking to meet the new market trends, Prodata Mobility Brasil has developed a system for monitoring the fleet operation of the public transport companies of passengers with a big difference: the online activity in real time operators of traffic of the companies to the control of movement of fleet in the street.

Terminal and subway statuses can be monitored in real time, as they simultaneously monitor the functioning of each of the ATM’s, POS’s, validators, providing information such as the time of the last transaction performed, the form of payment (debit or money).

If there is a malfunction in these devices, the monitoring simultaneously tells the server the cause of this problem, thus facilitating the control and repair of the devices.

Wi-Fi monitoring is done through a platform that provides information such as online and offline bus quantity per company, the time of the last communication, the history of connections, consumption, tracking.

The SmartDrive platform provides comprehensive and thorough analysis of the operation of the collective transportation fleet by providing information such as predictive maintenance that addresses different mechanical families (electrical, pneumatic, fluid, etc.), preventing unplanned shutdowns and fault codes, and also provides information on the behavioral and mechanical profile of drivers, providing greater operational safety and avoiding collisions and complaints from customers.


Interoperability between ticketing systems of different suppliers is treated by Prodata Mobility Brasil in a logical and safe way, as it refers to the standards already implemented and system architecture to be followed.

Prodata Mobility Brasil has developed an on-board solution to provide wireless access to the Internet for free, ensuring safety and quality to the users.

Another important item is the software embedded in the on-board platform, which through the layers specifically designed and developed, it is possible to control and manage the service, analyzing the behavior of all active devices in the solution.

Its great differential is to allow real-time control via software of the equipment, monitoring possible faults, communication, users, chips and other diagnostics. It is also possible to block sites, applications and
parameterization of the entire connection (speed, traffic and users).

Since August of 2015, the city of São Paulo has 415 buses with WI-FI technology for passengers, offering a secure, authenticated and quality connection.


Sales Network

Prodata Mobility Brasil develops solutions to allow the commercialization of electronic credits generated by the ticketing system for collective passenger transport, in a decentralized way from the issuer of the credits. In order to do so, it makes available to its customers a messaging service, called Message Broker, fully integrated with the Credit Manager System – SCM (Security Credit Manager), which guarantees the security of access between the sales system and the cards.

This model allows independent networks to work with the SCM for the requisition and management of all electronic credits, thus enabling electronic credits to be loaded onto the system cards. The sales network is conceptualized by an organization that performs operations linked to a Point of Sales (POS) terminal in a set of sale and recharge terminals.
